The first edition of CIVITAS Academy at Luigi Sturzo Institute – October 26-29

We are pleased to announce the first edition of the CIVITAS Academy, addressing researchers and scholars of Christian Democracy, which will be held on 26-29 October in Rome, at Istituto Luigi Sturzo.

You are particularly invited to discuss the research projects together with the five selected participants, providing your feedback and suggestions, on the 27th of October, from 2.00 until 6.15 pm and on the 28th of October from 09.30 am until 12.15 (CEST-Rome Time).

Moreover, please note that:

-on the 27th of October morning, we will have the pleasure to host two keynote lectures: at 09.30 am by Prof. Wolfram Kaiser on “Forging European Union: The European People’s Party Group in the European Parliament during the Cold War”; and at 11.15 am by Paolo Pombeni on “The ideology of Christian Democracy”;

-on the 28th of October, at 5.00 pm we will present the first volume of CIVITAS “Christian Democracy and the Fall of Communism” (eds. Michael Gehler, Piotr H. Kosicki and Helmut Wohnout).
