Following the teaching of Luigi Sturzo, the Institute has always paid great attention to the question of the relationship between society and democracy.
The transformations of Italian and European society and economy have been the object of specific research starting from the conviction that a democracy is not only the set of procedures that characterize it, but also an expression of the values that emerge from society.
From this point of view, a series of in-depth studies have been carried out and carried out which reconstruct both the changes in society and the process of formation of the Constitutional Charter and the transformations of political representation.
On these issues it is necessary to bring attention, especially of young people, as they are the antidote to the risk of a regression of the forms of democratic life in the country.
