The cycle of seminars organized by the Luigi Sturzo Institute in 2018 on the theme of Popularism and Populism, through a recognition of the meanings that the term people has assumed in specific historical contexts, has initiated a discussion that has focused on the reasons for opposition between the Luigi Sturzo’s politics of popularism and past and present forms of populism.
