De Gasperi made politics using the written word with great skill. His letters testify to a singular power of thought and an extraordinary capacity for synthesis. They are a national heritage, which tells a man and his time, the roots of the Italian Republic and of a united Europe without filters. Alcide De Gasperi speaks through his unpublished letters, collected in over 100 archives.
